About Cecilia Grosso
Cecilia Grosso is a dynamic and credentialed teacher with more than two decades experience teaching Spanish to students of all ages and levels. AÂ native Argentinian, Cecilia adapts her teaching to your needs: whether you need to improve your conversational Spanish, grammar, listening skills or catch up in class. She uses a multitude of platforms, including textbooks, online interactive programs, music, flashcards and games.

Adult Classes
Get Conversational Fast
Our adult classes are taught with a maximum of six students. There are three levels: Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced. Content is adapted to the desires, goals and level of the students. These classes focus heavily on conversation. Students receive a solid basis in grammar, but the emphasis is on teaching and improving conversational proficiency. Classes are fun, and integrate many different platforms.
Tutoring
One-on-One Attention
Tutoring provides personal instruction and is based on the student's particular needs. Cecilia is expert at preparing students for exams, helping students catch up if they are lagging behind, and providing refresher instruction.
School-age Classes
Catch up and Get Ahead
Cecilia works with middle and high school students. Classes are kept small--a maximum of six students. All levels are welcome. She adapts her teaching to the curriculum expectations of students' schools and is happy to liaise with teachers to make sure students are ready for class. Cecilia frequently creates classes for students in the same schools to work together.
PRICES
Private - $80 per lesson
Semi-Private (2 students) - $52 per lesson
Group (3 or more) - $47 per lesson
Registration and Payment is required 3 days in advance of a class session, consisting of 4 classes. Refunds are available for private sessions with 48-hour cancellation. Refunds for group sessions are not given. All missed classes are available by Zoom recording--so you never have to worry about missing class. Discounts are offered to students who organize group classes of 4 or more students.
Class Outings
We take outings to restaurants or local museums and attractions, using our Spanish language skills. This here is an outing to the Latin American Museum in Long Beach, with a tour conducted in Spanish.
